Muay Thai is the art of Eight Limbs. It focuses on striking using the eight points of contact: fists,
elbows, knees and feet. It uses the power of rotation in the hips to deliver dynamic punches,
kicks, elbows and blocks. Muay Thai fighters are known for their devastating kicks, knee
and elbow strikes, which combine speed, accuracy and power. The techniques and principles
taught in this martial art can be employed both offensively and defensively.
What is an average Class Like?
Muay Thai class is an hour long and starts with a 15 minute warm up and stretching. Following
the warm up is some conditioning that includes ab work. Varying from day to day the rest of
the class will consist of different technique training for striking and movement and sparring.
Sparring is not mandatory but strongly suggested, how else can you put your training to the
